This poem is dedicated to someone who I lost too soon. Enigma, I’ll never stop missing you.
A light energy that lived in physical form,
Matter shifting,
Slipping through the cracks of every dawn.
Force shining so fiercely,
How could it simply continue to stay on?
Reflections of your light spent, so instead,
A splintered lantern you sent.
Glowing orbs shifting through time,
We strain our weary eyes looking for a sign.
Grasping tightly to a brittle rope,
Hands scarred from years of lost hope.
Eyes shut tight,
Searching the remaining fragments of your glowing face.
Like a rebirth,
It fills me with renewed grace.
